Located within Tower Park, Miss Peggy’s Bark Park (formerly Barkwood Dog Park) offers a spacious and welcoming spot for dog owners in Brentwood, Tennessee to enjoy quality time with their pets. This dog park is popular for its designated fenced areas, separating large and small dogs, and an expansive open space perfect for running and play. The park features pet-friendly trails and great opportunities for dogs to socialize while their owners relax and connect with fellow pet lovers.
This medium-sized, wheelchair-accessible park is known for its agility equipment, shady walkways, and friendly dog community. Ample parking is available nearby at the Brentwood Library or recreation center, and the park is a short, scenic walk through a tree canopy and past convenient restrooms. Water is provided for pups, making it a comfortable stop for both dogs and their humans. Whether you’re looking for off-leash fun, dog-friendly hiking, or just a place to unwind with your furry friend in Tennessee, Miss Peggy’s Bark Park is a must-visit!
The city of Brentwood really dropped the ball on this park. It seems more like pandering than a genuine interest in providing a space so dog owners can socialize their dogs. Check out the fair dog park in Nashville as a good design that is also minimal. Pathetic dog park. I saw lots of people walking dogs and no one to play with
This dog park was fantastic and I enjoyed it and my dog loved it too. Make sure you park close by (the Brentwood Library or rec center) then you’ll find a pathway. It was confusing because I didn’t know but there is like a short walk to the park ( don’t worry is not long). There are two sections (big and small dogs), IT IS FENCED 🙂 , and an obstacle course. When I went there were many other dogs (weekend) so my dog loved the company (don’t worry it’s wasn’t crowed or anything like that). But it’s really sweet.
This dog park is very nice and spacious. The only problem I had was getting the directions on the GPS right. The Directions almost had me get on the 65 going N. I ended up making a u turn and parking next to a recreational center, then walking through a soccer field to get to the dog park. Nice walk.
Great spot when it’s dry! Long park with plenty of room to run. The dog owners that frequent there are great, too!
This is a great, medium-sized dog park, but it’s not super close to the road or easy to get to. I have picture instructions below. If you go to the Concord library light, take a left at that light (if you’re coming from the highway direction) go straight until you see the dog park sign by a parking lot on the right (first picture). Park, then walk through the tunnel (3rd pic). After the tunnel, walk toward the bathrooms and veer left (4th pic). Go on the trail through the pretty tree canopy (5th pic), and then you’ll see the large dog park on the left! It’s spacious, nice, small waking area, lots of places for agility training, water for pups, my dog loved it.
