Farrell Park Dog Park is a centrally located, welcoming destination for dog lovers in South Burlington, VT. Known for its friendly community and easy accessibility, the park offers separate, fenced areas for large and small pups, making it a favorite for owners seeking a safe and social off-leash environment. While the grounds provide a good spot for quick exercise and doggy interactions, visitors should note there is no water available on site, so be sure to bring your own.
The park is wheelchair accessible and sits adjacent to South Burlington’s larger park system, ideal for those looking to extend their adventure with pet-friendly trails. Shade is limited, especially in summer, and parking can be challenging as the lot is often in use by nearby office workers. Despite some upkeep challenges from a few visitors, most locals appreciate the community atmosphere and responsible pet owners this Vermont dog park attracts.
Lovely area adjacent to a big park system. Unfortunately, there’s only about a 50% chance of arriving here when there are other dogs at the park so they to check Google for high attendance times of you want doggy pals around.
The park is a bit small and does not have water on site. Most of the people who frequent this park are great as are there dogs. However there are those who are more attentive to there phone than there dog resulting in “land mines” on the fence line. But I have to say the worst people are the ones who allow there dogs to dig hole and leave them. This is how dogs break legs
Loved it!
Trying to find bigger dogs to come play with my almost 2 yo English Mastiff, she wants to play so bad with other dogs she sees it’s just she’s so big no one will try it! 🙁
Glare ice in winter. Scary mud in spring. People not cleaning up poop. People putting dogs inside and leaving them to sit in cars. Smoking. Parking in handicap space which is not well marked. Still lovely responsible people with web behaved dogs. Could be improved with better drainage and trees for shade. Dogs are wonderful but handlers can’t follow the rules.
Thank you for the park but please make it safer for dogs and owners.
Good signage, large and small dog sections. However, there is no water and very little available shade, which is no good for my large, excitable dogs. The parking lot is also mostly taken up by people working at the corporate center. It’s good enough for a quick excersize, but there are much better parks in burlington.
