During the warmer months, dog owners provide water via a hose from a nearby community garden, as there’s no permanent water source onsite yet. The park is known for its regulars who often visit around 3pm, turning daily outings into a vibrant social hour for both pups and their people. Whether you’re seeking pet-friendly trails, dog-friendly hiking, or simply a great dog park in Windsor, Paradise Bark is the place to be!
Wonderful dog park. We took both of our huskies and they had so much fun. Met some other well behaved puppers as well. Two areas, one for large dogs another for small.
Seems it’s not maintained fully in winter, the small dog area has been locked up with ice since winter set in. We use the larger side though and always have a blast, especially in the snow!
The group of dog parents that go there are absolutely wonderful and friendly. It’s a regular meet and hang out spot. Most try to go around 3pm. My sister’s dog gets so excited when we get close to it. All the other dogs know what doggy friend is arriving when the cars pull in,and they run to the fence to greet each other 🤣
Large, completely fenced, flat, mostly grassy park. Separate area for larger dogs and smaller dogs. Plenty of parking. Water spicket works.
This is a great dog park! The one parallel with the parking lot is larger and tends to have larger dogs in it (though all sizes are welcome!) while the one farthest from the parking lot is smaller and usually has small dogs or dogs with issues or in training.
While there is plenty of conversing going on, the owners all seem very attentive to their dogs and are quick to jump in if they see something might be about to break out. It’s really a great place to bring the dog loving community of Windsor together.
The only downside is that there’s no water available so local dog owners try to keep a steady supply available. Hopefully one day the town will find the funds to bring some water to the poor parched puppers! 🐕🐩🐶
In comparison to Watson Dog Park (WRJ) and Shaker Dog Park (Enfield, NH) this park has less shade than Watson but more shade than Shaker. This Park has more agility-type training tools than either of the other 2 mentioned. In the Winter, they all seem to become equally treacherous once the snow melts and then refreezes as a solid chunky mass. This Park is the least likely to be closed and has the least wet / moist ground.
Hopefully some of that helps. 🤷🏽♀️😁🐾
Nice park. Good sized.
Ground is grass and dirt and there is some shade from trees. Separate sections for large and small dogs.
Trash and bags are only outside the fence and the water is a hose from the nearby community garden during the warm seasons.
