Many thanks to the citizens of Mitchell for providing such an awesome place! I stopped here on a cross-country road trip with my two canine pals, and what a great experience! Lots of shade, plenty of clean water, immaculate groundskeeping, and so much room to run. Any dog who lives in Mitchell is spoiled to have this, and any pet passing through could use a refreshing stop this lovely park provides.

This is a really nice dog park. There are two fenced areas: one for small dogs and another larger area for big dogs. We had the place to ourselves, but there’s open grass, a small gathering of small trees, and some agility equipment. There are two dog waste stations with bags and a water fountain station for humans and dogs. Well maintained and a great place for my dogs to get some energy out during a long road trip.

What a wonderful community of dog owners! I stopped here while passing through and visiting the corn palace. I got here around 1:45pm there was one very sweet older woman here with her dog. Both of us have small dogs. It was a great time talking with her. She mentioned that around 3 30, people start really showing up. I decided to go to the corn palace and then come back because of the way she spoke highly of the, what I’m assuming, “regulars.” I got back around 3:40, and it was perfect timing. There was a surprising amount of small dogs pouring into the park! My little Daisy was in heaven! It was a grand time. All of the owners were so friendly and talkative. Everyone knew everyone, which was refreshing. The dogs all loved each other and were clearly good friends. It seems like the same community of dog owners come very frequently, if not every night! There was a very friendly man who apparently brings all the dogs treats every time he comes, and the dogs get so excited when they see him pulling up and wait by the fence. He passed out milk bones to all the dogs! Even my dog which has never been there. How generous! They weren’t even the tiny milk bones either! I didn’t get the names of the people but I got the dog names. Thank you so much Buddy, Oreo. Scooter, Pepper, Flash, Audi, Blue, Tika, and Max! Other dogs as well I didn’t catch their names.
