If you’re seeking a dog-friendly beach outing in Freeport, Texas, Beach Access is a fantastic spot for both locals and visitors! This public beach area welcomes leashed dogs, making it an excellent destination for pet owners searching for pet-friendly trails and sandy stretches to enjoy together. The sand is easy to walk on, and the entrance is accessible and free for everyone, with no parking fees needed.
Families will appreciate that Beach Access is considered good for children, and gatherings such as dog birthday parties or barbecues are encouraged. Basic amenities include porta potties, trash barrels (help keep the beach clean!), and plenty of open beach space for relaxation and fun. The area is regularly patrolled, so you can count on a safe environment. Just remember: dogs must remain on leash at all times while visiting.
Went to a B-Day party here and it was a very enjoyable day…Friendly people and the water was actually clear…All in all..Great day!!!
A great beach point to relax and enjoy nature, and it’s free!
Free, free, free! No ? pay to park, plenty of beach, Bbq allowef and pets.
Surfside 1st free public beach entrance is solid. Didn’t get stuck in or out. Water still cold March 2025.
I’m unsure how to rate a Beach Access (Access #1)
I gave it 5 stars because:
~ it’s free entrance
~it led me directly onto the beach
~the sand wasn’t too soft to get stuck (although, the ‘out’ access…#2NULL… did have soft sand, although no one was stuck there)
~there are porta potties & trash barrels (please pick up your trash!)
~dogs are allowed on leashes
~’roadway’ along the beach is one way and 15mph
~I don’t know if it was due to Holiday Weekend, but BCSO, a Constable, and a State Trooper were all patrolling the Beach. (I usually just see BCSO)
