Now that they have fixed most of the mud issues, it is great. 4 stars because they are closed all day every Wednesday for maintenance. Really, all darn day?? C’mon, how about 3-4 hours of closure??

UPDATE 12/9/19 – Park was opened successfully on 12/7/19 and is a fantastic addition. Facilities are excellent, and the rules of the park are posted right at the entrance. Very happy with the landscaping and set up of the park for both the small dog park and large dog park. The park is open from dawn until dusk, not 24 hours.

As of 10/31/19, the park is still under construction due to the grass needing to take root correctly to provide the best results. Three reviews before this with one star, while making me laugh, are sorely misinformed to believe that the dog park was finished with construction and opened.

The city of Lake Jackson has done an excellent job communicating construction status and this park will be a fantastic addition to our community when it is complete.

Absolutely love this park. Wish they’d put lights in for 24 hrs access, but its fully wheelchair accessible. My dogs love it and can run and play off lease. Which is a huge thing for us bc we moved from the country with a lot of acreage. Also wish they didn’t close on Wednesday. I don’t know why the hours keep changing either. Its from sunrise to sunset hours. So from 7:30/8:00am to 8:00/8:30pm. Closed Wednesday’s. Which sucks. They also have sprinklers for the dogs to play in. Water hoses, waterers to drink.

Nice dog park. During the summer they got water that shoots from the ground. Nice big area for dog to run and play (plus a little place where they get all muddy). Then they have a walking area for us boring humans . If your dog gets dirty they have a hose where you can wash them down a little. Not the best but it does the job.
