Easily accessible with ample parking and wheelchair-friendly amenities, it’s a great destination for families, dog owners, and sports enthusiasts alike. While not a traditional off-leash dog park, Herrington Park allows leashed dogs, making it ideal for those seeking dog-friendly hiking or a relaxed stroll with their pup.
This local favorite features two maintained baseball diamonds, picnic tables for gatherings, a covered pavilion, and clean restrooms during events. The park offers a peaceful retreat with wooded areas and walking routes, though these are more informal trails. Visitors enjoy pet-friendly paved areas, shaded seating, and a supportive environment for outdoor activities in Waterford Township.
Clean bathrooms and a snack bar are available for games. Baseball fields are well groomed and bleachers are available for seating.
Good softball park with nice fields. Bathrooms should have been in better condition given that they are only open during scheduled games through the parks and rec department. However, they do serve their purpose.
Two nice softball fields. They play ASA here. Fields are in pretty good shape. Concession stand present. There is a pavilion just north of the ball fields for gatherings. Plenty of parking. Has trail through the woods for walks/hikes. Pet friendly.
There are two nice baseball diamonds but they have gravel instead of sand. I did not see any walking trails. There is a very short driving trail through the woods to an electrical station. The biting flies and mosquitoes there are vicious.
There is a covered concession stand with a few picnic tables and another covered pavilion with no tables.

There are no playgrounds for kids
There is one unmaintained, community made trail in the woods that leads to a dead end.
Wonderful place to have a picnic or to watch youth baseball if that peaks your interest
