The park is nice, nice little farm, but they euthanized 100 ducks/geese/chickens when pond spread disease.
Now very loud concerts that disrupt the surrounding neighborhoods on into the evenings. Working in yard and garden and having to hear that isnt doing the neighbors good.
People that dont LIVE near the park like the concerts. Neighbors… not so much. Also more garbage now thrown in yards as people leave. Cans and food wrappers, snack wrappers.
The park has become a nuisance to the area.

Park is great, people apparently use it as a baby sitter, a kid pushed and wouldn’t stop following and touching our child. His mother just watching talking on the phone about how he’s already chasing girls. I had to physically stop him from pushing her down a slide on one occasion. But the park itself with the animals is great.

Great park to take the kids to. The play scape, swings and sand lot are all gated in so you don’t have to worry about your kids running off in opposite directions and going too far. There is a smaller pavilion in the play area and a large pavilion on the opposite side of the parking lot that sits on a small hill. There is a small farm area with a nice assortment of animals. The children are all very excited to see them. Easy access to everything, wheelchair friendly. The bathrooms are nice. There is another, out of the way pavilion that you can reserve for gatherings and request tractor pulled hay rides.

I’ve been coming to Hess – Hathaway Park since I was a child. My family reunions are hosted here yearly every August, as well as we rented the hall for my grandmothers 50th birthday and so much more. The staff are easy to work with and the park is great for children of all ages but I would like to comment on something else here at the park. The kindness rock garden. It is absolutely beautiful and so heartwarming to see in our community. They have a little library that is filled with information for those who need assistance, which is beneficial for those who struggle asking for help face to face. There are tons of rocks that have painted with animals, designs or simply just a kind reminder we all need to hear at times. You can take a rock or leave a rock. It is a great way for children, teenagers and even adults to participate in. Our world needs more of this.
