I gave it this rating because of the fishing area. There is a lot of stuff for kids, picnics, exercises and sports. The water is deep at the floating docks. No seaweed that plagues other places. And the dock looks brand new. Parking is close to the docks. The dock pictures is the small one. There is a huge floating dock to the left of that one. More a feel of a sports park with a tennis court etc but the view of the water is beautiful especially with fall colors showing up..
They definitely stepped up their game..this is lovely with their terrain trails and the rest rooms with glass-enclosed sitout areas to dine for a small gathering sheltered from the weather

This park was my newfound in 2024. How did I miss it before? It is picturesque in all seasons. Has a fishing pier and boardwalk, a hiking trail in the woods, slopes, a beautiful shelter building for renting. The very reason why I picked this park for the first time is because it is pet friendly and photographer friendly. A park suits all ages. I will come again for sure!
