Located in the heart of Detroit, Romanowski Park offers a beautiful open space for dog owners and families alike. This pet-friendly park features wide, tree-filled areas perfect for walking your dog or enjoying a peaceful day outdoors. The renovated basketball courts, soccer fields with new goal posts, and a modern children’s playground make it a vibrant spot for all ages, ensuring there’s something for everyone in your family.
Romanowski Park is known for its accessible design, including wheelchair accessible entrances and parking. The park’s paved walking paths are great for pet-friendly strolls, while picnic tables and a gazebo invite visitors to relax and take in the scenery. While the park allows dogs, visitors should be aware that there is no mention of a fenced dog area or off-leash zones—so keeping dogs leashed is recommended. With its serene atmosphere and ample green space, Romanowski Park is a top choice for dog-friendly activities in Detroit.
Very large and spacious, appeared to have only one shed. Didn’t see a restroom nor Fountain. Believe there was a play scape near the Michigan Avenue end. The was drag racing and people doing burn outs on the adjacent street (St. John). Be mindful where you step as there was drug paraphernalia in the parking lot.
Awesome renovations made to the park. Basketball courts are awesome now stamped with the pistons logos on all 3 courts. New nets and goal posts for I think 5 soccer fields. Nice new sidewalk for walking around the park for exercise. And great new children’s playground, swings, slides, and many new things.
Ok
Great park to walk the track, play soccer, basketball, have a picnic, etc. Nice place to eat lunch and just relax.
A very pretty park filled with trees, surrounded by a lovely view. The park is very clean, serene and well kept. There’s a gazebo near the entrance and a sidewalk leading from the gazebo deep into the park. It doesn’t seem like many people visit or due to a lack of seating and activities but it would make a great place to walk your dog or get some peace and quiet.
