JOE VLACK MEMORIAL PARK:On Google maps it looks like there is a pond there. It was a pond and still has 2 docks, but a creek runs through it now. The forest has some nice woodsy trails. And it seems like it isn’t used much.
Nice park for kids—shallow with sandy bottom. Fun to watch the rowers come and go. They’re always friendly and courteous to the others at the park and in the water.
Beautiful little park with a large area to park. Cool looking boats from a local rowing club are located in the far corner of the parking area. Neighbors are really nice and keep a close eye on the park.
Nice park with sandy, shallow boat launch, dock and swim area.
Good place to canoe/ kayak from to get to the quiet, south end of the lake and into the Cedar River Preserve.
Also has picnic shelters, grills & restrooms, and a large parking area. Small lake frontage, but a sweet spot.
Bonus is the newly added rowing club that uses the launch to row from.
Always love to see more human powered vessels enjoying the lake.
