Great rest stop that’s perfect for picnics, stretching your legs, walking the dog, or relieving oneself at the restroom. There’s plenty of picnic tables and grills, all of which are located in the shade in a slightly wooded area. They also have a highway map of both Montcalm County and Michigan in case you’re in need of direction and without a phone. However, the bathrooms are in dire need of a good cleaning and be sure to bring bug spray as the area is forested. Otherwise the closest rest areas are to the North – Marl Lake near Edmore, to the West – Rockford in Kent County, and the South – Portland and Saranac both in Ionia County with Woodland in Barry County after that.
Very well maintained and nicely shaded. Easy in and out with our 21′ foot RV but any size would be fantastic. Would definitely utilize it again!
