Air fresheners in shower and bathroom a bit too much but that’s it. The rest of our two day stay with rustic camping was fabulous! Great view of the bay and sunrise.

Decent little campground with rustic sites and cabins. Is located right on the water, I enjoyed listening to the waves when falling asleep. There are showers located within their own brick structure and two restrooms located within a different building. Ample parking for campers and their guests. There’s beach access, a playground structure, swing set and multiple pavilions with picnic tables. The whole campground wasn’t very big, but was fairly clean, be prepared for insects it is Michigan so Mosquitoes, Spiders and Ticks. They are worth it for in the early morning when the fog enveloped everything and the first rays of the sun were visible…. It was stunningly beautiful.

This campground directly on the bay could be amazing but it is not. The showers have zero ventilation, are filthy with a moldy smell and are in need of serious upgrades. All picnic tables that are under the pavilion are in good working order along with the playground area but the picnic tables at the campsites are in need of repair along with the old and broken split rail fence and dangerous board walk that is desperate need of repair. Only three campers this time of year and someone stole our firewood while we were gone. This could be a gorgeous beach but no one is caring for it. It is unfortunate that a county park on Lake Huron is not receiving the attention that it needs.

We did not stay at the park. We only went here during the day. We were in the area looking at for sale properties and the kids wanted to play in the Lake. Very calm. And shallow. Very long beach. They had a blast!!

If you are looking for a beach that is close too woods this is for you. NULL for a car for the day is not bad. There some areas to eat and tons of trees for shade. Beach area was clear although lots of sticks and debris. Good beach for rock collecting there are a ton in the water. Water shoes recommend if you have them. Staff was friendly. Me and my son enjoyed our time only wish we brought bug spray. Only reason i rated a 4 after about 10 minutes the black flies were swarming where we were smimming and sitting. Didnt bite but were enough to make my son want to leave.
