Emerald Drive Park is a locally-loved open space in Kalamazoo, MI, perfect for dog owners seeking a place to enjoy pet-friendly trails and outdoor activities. While not officially a designated dog park, Emerald Drive Park offers a large grassy area alongside a soccer field, making it popular for dog-friendly walks and play sessions. The park features beautiful shade trees that provide relief on warm days, and its expansive layout gives both pets and their owners plenty of room to roam.
This park is wheelchair accessible, with both an accessible entrance and parking lot, making it a welcoming option for all visitors. Amenities include a children’s playground, slides, and porta-potty facilities. While water fountains or dedicated dog agility features are not mentioned, dog lovers in Kalamazoo appreciate the spaciousness for walking, throwing a ball, or simply relaxing in a pet-friendly environment. Please be aware that some visitors report the presence of unleashed and sometimes aggressive dogs, so use caution when letting your dog off-leash. There are no fenced-in areas, so leash and safety etiquette are especially important.
Kind of a unique park in Kalamazoo, not many amenities or really anything other than a soccer field. But that being said it’s amazing size provides a great place to walk your dogs, play catch with your kids or just enjoy the outdoors under some beautiful shade trees. I’ve been coming here for years and hope to continue doing so. Thanks Kalamazoo Parks Department!
Great place to let little ones run and play. They have plenty of room here to let anyone to blow steam off. No public restrooms but has porta potty to be safe.
How do I go about getting a job driving the Google maps camera carNULL
…. and emerald park is business’s. If your looking to make ? hr or less this is the place..
I love and hate this park. The reason I chose to live close by so I could walk my dog here. There are so many unleashed aggressive dogs here. It’s insane. I can even have one earbud in. Me and my dog have been attacked 3 times and I haven’t even been here a year.
This place is an unofficial dog park. People let their dogs loose here because they’re too aggressive to go to the dog park. It’s very frustrating.
Nice park for soccer. A bit close to 94. The smell of car exhaust is very heavy in the park for that reason. Food concession trailer there on my visit. Looked like good food but I had recently eaten. Nice grassy areas for activities. Long narrow strip of land going to the north that is good for throwing a ball.
