Bangor Dog Park, located at 12 Watchmaker St in Bangor, is a top dog-friendly destination offering a fun and safe environment for you and your furry friend. Known for its accessible layout and community vibe, the park features multiple fenced areas including separate enclosures for both large and small dogs—plus a third area for training. With well-maintained, wide trails running throughout, you and your pup can enjoy miles of pet-friendly hikes right inside the park. The ground cover is primarily sandy/dirt, helping to keep things clean as you play and explore.
Unique among dog parks in Bangor, this spot offers plenty of amenities such as shaded areas beneath mature trees, ample parking, dog bowls and pools on hot days, and a variety of provided toys. There’s also a basketball court on site and hiking paths for families and kids to enjoy. The park is wheelchair accessible and has waste stations and trash bins to help keep things tidy. Bring your dog for hours of off-leash fun, socialization, and exercise at this well-loved Maine community favorite!
This place is wonderful! There are multiple pins set up for different size dogs. Trails that are wide, and maintained. My dog spends hours walking the trails and running around in the pins. There are pools filled with water on hot days! Bowls have been placed in the pins for drinking when your pup gets thirsty. There are balls and all kinds of things to keep them busy and socializing. 🥰 My only issue is the equipment in one of the pins and on a trail of to the left is the ramp is broken and could cause injury. It should either be removed or replaced.
This is the perfect spot to bring your dogs to play! There are 3 different enclosed areas, one of them being a lot bigger than the other two. If your dog(s) aren’t dog or people friendly you can bring your dog to the smallest enclosure – which is definitely not small! There are also hiking trails which are well maintained and a basketball court. I highly recommend bringing your dogs here, it they’re friendly its a great place to bring them to burn some energy but even if they aren’t there’s still stuff for them to do.
