New tennis courts, basketball court and skate park at Kraft Park. Tennis courts and skate park will be open until weather turns. Basketball to remain closed for right now. Ribbon cutting was this evening. Info from Cheryl Cunningham, one of 7 current Redford Parks Commissioners.

My kids were ready to go within 20 minutes. I guess because there were no other kids for them to play with. Park is clean and nice.

I know it as Chuck Lawson Baseball Park. My nephews played ball there 15 – 20 years ago. It was a really nice ball field with concussion stand and bathrooms. And now my grand kids play ball here and it is still a really nice ball field with concussion stand and bathrooms.

Love this park brings back great memories of being a kid and going to school at Volney Smith. Then creating memories there as a parent coaching for North Redford Central Little League and the kids playing baseball were almost all kids of people we grew up with.. Good Times..
