Located in the heart of Melvindale, Coogan Park offers a convenient and pet-friendly spot for local dog owners and families. This city block-sized park features pet-friendly walking paths, plenty of open space for leashed exercise, and is welcoming for both dogs and kids. With wheelchair accessible entrances and parking, it’s easily accessible for everyone looking to enjoy time outdoors with their pets.
While the park is well-loved by many locals for its quiet atmosphere and community history, it is important to note that coverage and activities are limited, and the park may experience heavy use and maintenance issues during peak times. Nice little park. Could use a little more cover or activities or something
This park sucks. The people that go hang out there trash it. Garbage everywhere. The limbs on the trees are literally dropping off on a daily basis. The playground is wrecked. The park also floods. Its just garbage.
It’s a city block big. Good for walking or jogging lots of things for the kids to play on. I have been going there for about 50 years. Nice place.
