🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Tom Harvey Memorial Dog Park is a beloved dog park in Blanchester, Ohio, known for its spacious, 10-acre fenced-in grounds and welcoming atmosphere for both dogs and their owners. Visitors rave about the extensive pet-friendly trails that wind through wooded areas, as well as the large open fields dotted with wildflowers. Two ponds provide a unique swim area for water-loving pups (with a caution about potential algae in warm seasons), and multiple trails make it a great spot for dog-friendly hiking experiences.
This dog park stands out for its ample amenities, including agility equipment, several picnic tables, benches, and even a convenient dog wash station to clean up after muddy adventures. While dogs can roam off-leash within all fenced areas, owners should bring their own water, as there is no public water source on site. Parking is accessible and wheelchair friendly, making this a top choice for local and visiting dog owners seeking a natural, adventure-filled outing with their pets.
Love this dog park! So nice to have water for the dogs to swim in and then run through the grass and walk the trails-all unleashed. Beautiful space for the dogs-just wish we lived closer.
Wow! What a wonderful dog park! Took our two dogs here for the first time today and we all loved it! Has a huge open area with a pond, a few tunnels for the dogs to play in, and even wooded walking trails- all fenced in. Several benches and seating areas throughout. No other dogs there, but they didn’t mind. Plenty to explore! Recommend wearing old shoes or boots if it has just rained because it is a bit soggy in some areas and the trails were muddy.
Beautiful place, fenced in, lots of land for you & your companion to hike through out, lots of beautiful nature patches full of butterflies & cicadas only problem we had is the pond doesn’t seem to be treated anymore & is covered in blue green algae that can make the dogs very sick if they drink or swallow it, Other than that it’s seriously such an amazing spot
This park is a hidden gem! Entire 10acres is fenced in with several picnic tables and seating. Dogs can run through the wooded trails, play on agility equipment, and swim in the 2 treated ponds. My dog loves it here!
*Make sure to bring your dog water – there is no water source*
LOVE ITTTTTTT!!!!!!!
This is one of our favorite dog parks! We come out here every once in a while from Mason, and it’s always a nice little getaway. There are tons of trails through the woods that feel more like a hike than a typical dog park. Before you get to the wooded part, there’s a big open field with wildflowers and even a pond—our dog loves it. They also have a dog wash station with soap and water, which is super handy after all the exploring. Definitely a cool spot to check out.
