Lyon Oaks County Park in Wixom is one of my favorite of the Oakland County Parks system to walk. It is relatively quiet and the trail system is about 5 miles in length with some pretty bridges. There is a large court yard to picnic, a soccer area and a dog park. It is now free to enter thanks to the proposal that passed in 2024 – Jill Zamojcin

There’s a small set of trails in the back of the park area. A couple of loops are available and can be mixed and matched for various lengths. Even though you drive through an industrial zone to get to the park you never feel removed from the nature around you.

There are a few times I could hear some traffic though which… It was what it was. There are benches set up occasionally too. The trails are very well marked. Took my dog with me.

Edit:
After the foliage falls there’s a few points along the eastern section where you can easily see some warehouses and such. It’s only for a few short sections though. Wasn’t the best, but wasn’t terrible.

This park has good soccer fields, dog park, cricket pitch/nets and walk / bike trails . I have been to soccer fields most of the times. I just explored the BIKE 🚴 TRAIL and it is very decent . Good thing about the trails is these are FLAT TRAILS . It has about 3 miles loop. Good to go with little / young kids. Just be aware of mosquitoes 🦟 and go with repellents on your body.
Have good biking.

This park has some great flat trails. Trails are well maintained and dog friendly although they must be kept on leash at all times on the trails. Has nice picnic areas shelters. Two huge dog parks with separate area for small dogs and large dogs. My dog and I love the trail, great for trail running for beginners too. The longest trail is about 3miles loop.
