🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located conveniently at 23700 Lillian St, Brownstown Township, Brownstown Dog Park offers a pet-friendly space for local dog owners looking for a secure environment for their pups to play. This fenced dog park is wheelchair accessible, and features a separate area just for small dogs—a plus for families seeking a safer space for their petite companions. Please note: this dog park requires users to be Brownstown Township residents and a fee is charged for entry.
While praised for its spacious layout and accessibility, reviewers do mention that the dog park is on the smaller side and contains large rocks that can be hazardous for running dogs. Visitors should also be mindful of dog waste and holes left unfilled by digging dogs. Despite some maintenance concerns, this park remains a valued off-leash haven in the community.
The fact you have to pay to use the dog park and enjoy with your dog. I think it’s outrageous, especially since how it’s so small that they can’t even really enjoy it. Save your money and just take your dogs for a walk.
My pup and I went here 4-7 times a week for almost five years. Wonderful space for running and a separate area for small dogs. They no longer allow people and dogs from out of Brownstown Township, so we can no longer utilize it. It doesn’t get maintained as frequently as it should be, watch out for droppings that many dog owners “forget”.
Not for your dog. Pay to play…
Had to leave the park people said their dog isn’t small dog friendly. Very rude
I like the layout of the Brownstown dog park except for the big rocks that my “clumsy while playing with other dogs” Labrador Retriever ran into at full speed. She was OK but I have heard of other dogs being severly injured from running into the sharp, large rocks throughout the Dog Park. Removing them would be a great idea?
I would recommend insisting that users pick up their dogs mess better as well as fill in all of the very deep holes their dogs “Dig Up”. Everybody needs to help keep the park clean or else we all lose!
