Very good place to go for peacefulness
Awesome place for a family day out. It’s peaceful and have huge amounts of land to play.
Fairly large open field with some ball diamonds. Shady spots can be found if you need to hide from Mr Sun. Good spot for a quick Drone flight
Nice place for our picnic dinner. Several others were meeting up (yet monitoring their distancing). Could have used a couple more picnic tables… just spread them out a bit instead of keeping them stored away.
The Nolar Bend Recreation area is a spacious location. There is a small children’s play structure in an open field. There are picnic tables at the edge of the area. There is plenty of parking. It is maintained well.
The river runs close by here and there is indeed a bend in the river. It is the Rouge so caution must be taken near the water. Some of the banks are high and the bottom of the river is uncertain with sandy areas interspersed with mud. It is a beautiful river. Just treat it with respect. Check for any notices about water contact.
It is a great place for photography, Frisbee, picnics and other outdoor activities.
