If you’re searching for a beautifully maintained dog park in Clinton Township, the Civic Center Park-Dog Park is a favorite among local dog owners. This pet-friendly haven offers a spacious, grassy area for dogs to run and play, with plenty of seating for owners. Known for its clean and secure environment, you’ll need to register your furry friend (with up-to-date shots and licenses) and purchase a keyfob from the Clinton Township Recreation department for entry. This ensures a safe and welcoming place for all well-behaved dogs and their owners.
The park features wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances, public restrooms, shaded seating (including an umbrella for sunny days), and picnic tables, making it enjoyable for both dogs and humans. Water bowls and a water source are provided seasonally, along with waste bags and plenty of trash bins for easy cleanup. Families appreciate the child-friendly atmosphere and the large grassy area where dogs can run free. Recent improvements, such as added rocks in muddy spots, show the park is regularly maintained based on community feedback, keeping it pleasant throughout the year.
Really nice large well taken care of grassy dog park. Worth the NULL dollars a year and NULL for a keyfob. All dogs must be licensed and have rabies shot. Which is good to know just incase.
It’s a Beautiful park and it’s wonderful to see the dogs running around together like pals.
Nice park. They provide water and water bowls right in the park during the warmer months, plastic bags and receptacles to clean up after your dog, and there’s plenty of grass area and seating. There’s even an umbrella for particularly hot and sunny days.
You need a fob to get in the gate that you purchase from Clinton Township Recreation department after proving your dog is registered and up to date on all shots and vaccinations.
Emmett could not get enough of this place! Absolutely love it. The parks & rec department were great in getting us access same day with all the info. Will be visiting often when we’re in town!
It’s a great park with a lot of room, however, if it’s even slightly wet outside it becomes extremely muddy due to several areas not being taken care of. The grass is very patchy leaving mud and large mud puddles that I wouldn’t want my dog in. I would think with the amount of money we pay to get access to the park, they could maintain the area a little better.
Update: they added rocks into the muddy areas this year. It’s helped a lot! A few more muddy patches but it looks a lot better.
