Really easy shaded trail I would definitely recommend for handicapped or elderly. Parking is the only issue it’s a small parking lot so if you have a large vehicle it’s going to be a little tough getting out.

Easy old road with many water falls on the side of trail. Creek follows next to trail all the way down. Stop and look up at where you are situated, you truly feel small compared to the height of the gorge. A geological and historical place in my hometown!

I’ve yet to actually visit this spot as a nature trail. Short story. My dad owned some property in the town of Amsterdam, and I grew up driving through here. I know this will be one of my favorites. I have it saved as a must go this spring. You will love it too. I know of one main creek that flows along the roadside and multiple smaller creeks with small flowing waterfalls depending on the time of year. Years ago, there was a small cave that was believed to hide wolves, call me crazy, but the town I believe caved the cave in lol due to this….or it was just something my dad said. Edit: it’s as amazing a place as I thought it would be.
