Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Conklin “Raceway” Dog Park in Conklin, NY, stands out as a spacious, fully-fenced dog park built on a former go-kart track, offering pet-friendly trails and open grassy areas perfect for your furry friend to run and play. The unique looped track allows dog owners to walk and exercise while their dogs enjoy off-leash freedom in a secure environment. Located at 956 Conklin Rd, this dog park is especially popular among local residents seeking a safe place for their dogs to socialize and burn energy.
The park is wheelchair accessible, with accessible parking and paths that make it easy for everyone to enjoy. There are picnic tables and seating areas for you to relax, and the park is known for being clean and well-maintained. The friendly environment is LGBTQ+-inclusive and considered a safe space for all. However, please note that there are no separate areas for small and large dogs, so small dog owners should exercise caution when the park is busy.
Huge, fenced in space and very clean. Love the old track to walk around on to get exercise while my dog plays around me!
Better than some of the parks around but many of the owners don’t watch their dogs. Had a lady with a huge dog show up I think the dog’s name was Shrek (100lb +)immediately runs to my shepherd who was young at the time on the other side of the park he just wanted to play but was getting a little rough mean while the owner was just there to walk the track and not pay attention to her dog and says he’s just a puppy I had a few other problems with people but don’t write more. If you have a small dog be weary going
Nice, but no separate areas for small and large dogs
Great dog park.
Fully fenced, rolling grass hills and open areas for play.
Used to be a gokart track so there is great loop to walk while your pup plays. 1/3 of a mile if you walk a full circuit so you can get some quick exercise in for yourself too.
Our Noah, a 1 year old make cocker spaniel loves the park. We live in a third floor apartment and not much room for him to run and play, but after seeing him being able to run and play and tiring himself out, he slept with a smile. Park is well kept, fencing seems secure so your furry kids can enjoy themselves without to much worry.
Thank you Town of Conklin for providing this park for area residents
