I have been fishing these ponds since I was 12, i’m now 18. I know all the fish species and ways to catch them in here. Most people overlook a lot of the water that is actually at the grand river open spaces. You can fish more than just the ponds, especially this time of year, their is even a little spill way. species in these water include the following which I have caught and their may be more. My species list from this water: Northern pike, Large Mouth bass, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Green Sunfish, Warmouth, Channel Catfish, Brown Bullhead, Common Carp. Letting you all in on a little secret, There just may be a tiny population of walleye located at one of these ponds. Good luck and tight lines fellas.

Awesome spot for off-trail snowshoeing and XC-skiing in the winter time, when the floodplains freeze over! You can also let your dog run off-leash here too, which is nice.

We did some fishing with our kids. It was a nice easy to use location. There was some litter but not much. It was easy to get to the water and we got several small fish. Nothing we would take home but we just wanted catch and release anyhow.

Easy to fish from the shore, my diabled son is able to get down to the shore easily. Almost everyone I have met here is polite and friendly.

Odd spot for a park, not a whole lot to it. That being said it’s still a nice spot in the area to sit and get some fresh air and peace and quiet. Tried fishing there and the amount of lake weed was a problem. There is a carry only boat ramp great for kayaking and what not, however it’s not a huge area and their are many residences on the water. There is a well kept nice bench in loving memory of an individual gone too soon that has a good view. There are a few trails to be walked. There is one pit toilet. Overall depending on your needs it may be worth checking out if you’re interested.
