With lots of open space for both kids and pets to run around, it’s a popular spot for those seeking a spacious, pet-friendly destination. This park occasionally hosts local events, such as farmers markets, making it a community hub. For those traveling by car, the site is easy to find, and parking is readily available. The facilities were fine but the “farmers” market was bust. There were no farmers, no produce and only a dozen or less vendors. The idea was great but maybe the vendor fee was a deterrent that kept the participants away. There were quite a few cars turning in to the park but we and others could see that it was just a good place to turn around and pick up our kale and other early veggies from the Amish.

We came to walk the trails. They are not maintained at all. The map at the head of the trail is indecipherable. It’s a shame because it looks like a beautiful area.
