BEWARE – AT YOUR OWN RISK. Unprovoked, my 10 lb dog was attacked by a large vicious German Shepherd. It has cost me over NULL,000 in medical bills. When I reported to Animal Control they refused to write a citation to the owner because it is a City of Tampa Property. They claim that you are at your OWN RISK when you enter that park. That may be the case for parks run by Hillsborough County but it is not the case for a City of Tampa Park. Nowhere is it stated, posted or written into the City of Tampa Ordinances that this is the case. Please be aware, that YOU nor your ANIMAL are protected by Animal Control when you enter this Park. What happens in the Park, Stays in the Park. I will never enter that park again now knowing that my dog nor myself is NOT protected by animal services.

It’s kind of gross with artificial turf and you can smell the dog urine upon entering this park. On top of that you can visually see dog feces all over the different areas of the park.

This place is filthy. Needs daily cleaning since it’s astro turf. But it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. Not to mention the many piles not picked up. Then the spots of older piles. We left immediately. Make sure you have your shots/vaccinations.

Decent dog park sandwiched between a couple high rise apartment buildings, which gives it decent shade. The people and dogs are usually friendly and tend to know each other. The grass is soft turf and there is a covered seating area. The cleanliness of the park varies. Some of the owners do not understand they are actually responsible for their pet’s waste. Depending on who had been there before you, your results may vary. A much better park (dog or otherwise) within a 10-minute drive is the Water Works park.
