Very nice dog park! Only issues I have are around the gates; there are large gaps that my small dogs can fit through. I have three pomeranians and make sure I keep an eye on them while playing. A major plus is the river access behind the park for dogs to get drinks especially during winter playtime.

The park itself is great, however last two times we have been there dogs have been in fights. The first one ended with a NULL vet bill for a friend of mines dog. Not sure we wanted to go back but today we decided to. Only to have our dog (a 2.5 year old boxer) in a fight. We do not know what started it and not sure it really matters at this point. We will not be going back. We love Lowell and visit often. Unfortunately, not a positive on the dog park. Just be careful and stay aware of what’s going on.

My opinion of the Lowell dog park is a little biased, because I manage the park. With that said I encourage people to come visit our free Dog Park , socialize your dog and spend time with other like-minded responsible pet owners. The Park is open during light hours throughout the summer and we have lights on in the winter until 8 p.m. We have a Lake behind the dog park that is available for dogs to swim, a weather shelter, pleanty of seating and a drinking fountain in the park for human and dog consumption during the summer months.

Good local park. You need to beware of other owners as there are a few that go up there who don’t pay attention to their dogs. Some have even been very aggressive. As long as you are prepared to react to these situations if they occur then you’ll have a good time. Bring water if you go before may because the water isn’t turned on.

We really love this park! Great little lake to kayak and fish! We have had the whole family out there and everyone has had a great time. Kids love the swimming and visiting the little island. It has never been busy when we have gone and almost feels like we have had the park to ourselves. We never used it but there is also a skate board park there as well.
