Looking for a dog park in South Haven, Michigan where your furry friend can run, play, and socialize? South Haven Dog Park offers a spacious, securely fenced environment that caters to both large and small dogs with three separate areas for varied needs. This members-only park stands out as the only dedicated dog park in town, providing plenty of room for off-leash adventures and exercise. The park is regularly described as clean and well-maintained, with a simple membership process involving dog registration and current licensing with the city.
Among the amenities are water bowls, tennis balls, ChuckIt toys, waste bags, and several seating options, including picnic tables. While it’s not the largest park, its thoughtful design gives dogs ample space to roam and run. The wheelchair accessible parking lot and straightforward rules make it especially welcoming. If you’re searching for pet-friendly trails and dog-friendly spaces in South Haven, this park is truly a local staple until a public dog park is created – well worth the membership for area dog owners!
Clean, 3 separate enclosed areas, small dog park but plenty of room!
There is a nice large main area that often provides excitement and that all-important large muscle off-leash exercise. It is a godsend for our two pups. Very grateful to the generosity of the parkland’s owner to make it available. There are also two sequestered areas for dogs that need it. Great fence running!
This dog park is all for the dogs, with some basics for those who love and care for them, such as chairs, bags, some balls, and a couple ChuckIt’s. Until the town can get the proposed park going, it is a gem for dog people.
Nice fenced in area with water bowls and tennis balls. Members only though.
I know it said Members Only on the gate, but the gate was open and young lady can’t read and I have a brain injury? So We snuck in. There are actually three fenced off areas but only one looks like it is used for big dogs while the other two? The big dog park is big and flat and open. With the exception of the two picnic tables right in the middle of it, and a few chairs squeezed over into one corner there isn’t much for your dog to run into. And if you are pulling a trailer or in a motorhome there is not very much room to park. I think all you have to do to become a member is register your dog with the city and make sure it’s license is current!
You’ve got to be a member to go in which is a little silly considering it’s the only dog park in town. Other than that, great spot. Decent size for the pups to run!
