Very nice surprise- 10 mile route – uphill from millington – straight shot with a few streams etc. we parked at millington and headed south . Ate at a nice little family restaurant at the end of the trail.

This is just one of the many great bike trails we have here on southern MI. This one happens to be close by only 24 miles away with 10 feet wide bike path from Columbiaville to Millington, MI. Round trip is 20 miles unless you decide to ride into Millington to get a bite to eat. The trail is partly shaded with plenary of rest stops along the way. It can be busy on the weekends and there are areas you do have to cross a couple busy highway’s.

Southern Links Trailway is one of the best places to ride your bicycle 🚴. The trails are flat (slight elevations), asphalt, smooth and scenic. The trail one way is about 10 miles and goes from Columbiaville to Otter Lake and ends in Millington and you can make Otter Lake in about five miles. In total, the trail is 20 miles to ride, there and back. There are picnic tables, benches and port-potties available. You will see wildlife like rabbits 🐇, chipmunks 🐿, squirrels 🐿, turtles 🐢, snakes 🐍, turkeys 🦃, birds 🐦, 🦌, and if you’re lucky a minx or bald eagle 🦅 and maybe even big foot 🦶. There are markers that point out different trees 🌲 🌳 and trail makers to let you know how far you’ve traveled. The trail is well maintained, beautiful to ride a bike 🚲, walk, ride a horse 🐎 or in the winter to go cross country or snowshoeing. Motorised vehicles are not allowed on this trail and this includes golf carts. I highly recommend this trail to anyone looking to reconnect with nature.

This is a really nice trail! Great mix of sun and shade, good condition, not much of elevation to worry about, and a good distance
