I always enjoy taking my dogs their, it is calm and I love how they have 2 sections for bigger and smaller dogs so it makes me more at ease with my little pups. I do wish they had more things for them to run through or on but I can’t complain, we love it!
We are full-time travelers in our RV & have gone through many states & numerous towns & cities along the way. Each place we stay we are always on the lookout for a dog park for our 135 pound Brazilian Mastiff older dog. We scour the area & have come across many nice ones & ones that aren’t worth your time. Since we’ve been in Texas, we have yet to find any dog park that is up to par with any others. But these standards are only from our perspective based on our current dog & his needs. So what’s nice for one person & their pups aren’t necessarily right for the next person & their pups. With that said, this IS one of the biggest ones we’ve come across so far in the state of Texas. Biggest in terms of a fully fenced or open area with grass. So, not referencing any open beach dog parks here. If you have a larger dog who just needs to be off leash more often in a fully contained area then this is a good place. They have 2 separate areas that are fenced. We only used the one closest to the parking area. I believe that was for the larger dogs but either would suffice. Nothing fancy here but has a small spot to sit for a few people. Not alot of room to really roam but if your dog is more into interacting with other dogs then this would be a good area. Unfortunately there was only 1 other dog there when we went on a Saturday afternoon. The grass was more green than we’ve seen most anywhere in Texas so far. It was a bit long but not bad. Watch out where you step as not alot of people picked up after their dog here. We found the area to have just as many goat-head burs (or puncturevine depending on what you’re used to calling them.) as anywhere else in the state of Texas. I guess there’s no getting around those. It just made it a bit hard for my dog to walk around but his pads aren’t used to it yet so maybe that is ok for other dogs, not really sure. No water fountain for your pup nor restrooms here for you. But that wasn’t a make it or break it deal for us as we bring his own water bottle.
This park is very poorly maintained. The fence is not secure in the small dog enclosure and the grass has been neglected. If you have a small dog, stay away.
What a great dog park!! I love the split sides so you can choose where you want to be, big dogs / small dogs, group / no group this time. Clean. Safe. Beautifully kept.
Perfect dog park. Every time I’ve brought my dog here, she had a great time. Not one single dog has been aggressive or out of control. Friendly humans too.
