It’s a nice park to take your kids and family here for a bbq. There’s trails that you can walk through and enjoy nature. There’s two set of swing on both side but it doesn’t have a kids playground.
Did both the southern loop and the northern loop from this trailhead. Southern is good elevation changes and pacing. Northern is a little more relaxed and offers great views of the surrounding lakes. Good for a quick fix of nature! Solid quick day hike opportunity. Will be doing again in the future.
Beautiful trails with lots of mature trees and abundant bird life.
Such a beautiful trail and forest. I hiked the blue trail which is 2.1 miles (3.3 km) recently in midMarch. The trail was mostly ice and snow, but it was passable with good boots. It was muddy in some spots. There wasnt anyone else on the trail. Parking lot is small and muddy, during this time of year.
Did the north trailhead and the orange trail on it which 3.6 miles. Nice mainly flat trail with lots of greenery. Very serene and only passed around 6-8 people in the almost 2 hours we were there. Only downside is lots of bugs and gnats since it’s a heavily forested area. We sprayed a lot of bug spray and it was our saving grace. Make sure you bug spray up if you hike this trail.
