Wharton Dog Park is a popular off-leash dog park conveniently situated in Wharton, New Jersey, just before the entrance to Wharton’s Industrial Park. The park is designed with dog owners in mind, offering a welcoming and social environment where both pets and people enjoy their time. The park features two fully enclosed areas, one for small breeds and another for larger dogs, ensuring safe play regardless of your pup’s size.
While there aren’t agility courses or playground equipment, the park provides ample open space for dogs to run and roam. A water hose and bowls are available to keep pups hydrated, and there are water fountains for both dogs and their owners (note: some reviews mention occasional issues with the fountain’s functionality). Parking is easy with a fairly large lot just steps from the dog runs. Community-minded regulars work together to keep the park clean, making it a pleasant, dog-friendly spot in Morris County.
Great local dog park. Everyone there is super friendly. There are even two sections of the dog park one is for larger breeds and the other side is for the little pups.
Nice little spot for the dog to run but there doesnt seem to be any maintenance of the area. The water fountain doesn’t work (for dogs or people) and it’s mostly dirt on the large dog side. Would be much nicer if they would sod the area.
Cool and clean place to let your dog run off leash. Everyone does a great job of picking up the droppings.
Fairly decent-sized parking lot with two areas, respectively, designated for small & large dogs. There are no exercise apparatuses, just land to run and roam, that is enclosed. There is also a fountain of water for owners and animals. The location is to the left before reaching Wharton’s Industrial Park.
Separate areas for small dogs or big dogs, a water hose and bowls to keep them hydrated. Easy to find so it can get a little busy, but Hank loves it!
