Geneva Dog Park is a local favorite fenced-in area for dogs, conveniently situated behind Memorial Field at 240 Eastwood St, Geneva, OH 44041. It’s an easily accessible spot for both pets and families in Ashtabula County, boasting wheelchair-friendly entrances and parking. Visitors appreciate the double-gated entry system for safe access and the close proximity to a playground, making this dog park in Geneva, Ohio a great choice for families with kids and dogs looking to play together.
While the park is fully fenced and allows dogs off-leash, owners should be aware that there isn’t a separate area for small dogs and a few fence gaps have been mentioned, which could be a concern for very small pets. The park features waste bag dispensers (though availability can vary), trash cans for easy cleanup, and plenty of parking nearby. While there is currently no water fountain for dogs, it remains a pet-friendly destination for quick walks, play sessions, and socializing with other dog lovers. If you’re searching for a Geneva, Ohio dog park with accessible amenities, kid-friendly play structures, and a low-key vibe, this is a spot worth checking out.
My little dog escaped through hole in fence by gate they use to mow grass. The gate is bent back to allow small to medium dogs go through easily. I’m fostering so she’s not very good at following or knowing commands. Was scary because she got close to road. Couldn’t chase her as she just runs away. Luckily she came back to me eventually. Will contact city this week to get it fixed.
Good dog park for a quick play and walk. Play structure nearby for kids and plenty of places to park so you never have to worry. The park does provide a trash can and bags so you can clean up after your dog. The park only gets four stars due to no water station for the dogs. This would be the only thing the park really needs to help improve it.
It’s ok, but don’t let your kids or dog play in the creek, it has lots of steel in it.
This dog park is located next to Memorial field. It is fenced in area with a double gate for entry. The fenced in area is a little smaller than expected and there is not a separate area for smaller dogs. There is a dog waste bag dispenser and trash can present. Their is a large access gate for maintenance and the gap clearances there are a concern for smaller dogs as they could squeeze through if inclined.
Overall its an OK park but there is room for improvement and is not as large as Smith Field park in Ashtabula
Large fenced in park behind the football field. Low traffic. Some holes under the fence that may be problematic if you have a smaller dog. I brought my two German Shepherd mixes and they were able to play and have fun. Parking is a little strange, I parked on the side of the path. Poo bags were not available, but grocery bags were there to replace. Overall well taken care of and easily accessible.
