Located along the scenic Musconetcong River, Hackettstown Riverfront Park is one of the best pet-friendly parks in Hackettstown, New Jersey. With spacious grassy fields, shady tree-lined trails, and plenty of open areas, it’s a favorite spot for dog owners and families alike. Visitors enjoy well-maintained paved paths perfect for dog-walking or jogging with your pup, and wheelchair accessibility makes these trails inclusive for everyone.
This beautiful park features multiple sports fields, a playground for children, accessible workout stations, and numerous benches for relaxation. Nature lovers will appreciate the riverside trails, abundant wildlife, and hidden picnic spots. While there isn’t a designated fenced dog area, dogs are welcome to explore the park and enjoy the shady, pet-friendly hiking trails.
Great workout equipment, multiple fields for recreation, and a splendid picnic retreat for the whole family. I cannot recommend this hidden gem enough to locals and visitors to the area! The real pride of New Jersey here!
Found this gem by chance and I sincerely felt in a nostalgic abyss. It has an open field path between a baseball and soccer field with small fields and a playground on the outskirts. Second, there is a trail that leads to the other end of athletic fields.
This park is along the Muscenetcong River; which has great accessibility points for fishing or just sitting on the rocks. There’s many hidden areas and caution signs of bears present. While I did not see any on this trip, there’s a plethora of wildlife. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!
Great place to run or walk! Love the training/ workout stations along the trails. My puppy loves it here as well! You can play some softball or take a walk in the shade by the river. Also very well maintained trails that even wheelchairs can go on!
Well this park is absolutely beautiful for the whole family. There is a very large walking track with side paths that lead to the Musconetcong river. The paths are very shady on a hot day due to the abundance of trees.
There’s a playground for children. A baseball green and a soccer green. Many well kept benches and also along the way many exercise equipment to use with instructions. Perfect!! 10 Stars!!
His park barely has bathrooms just potter potters and no water fountains. It had a playground and trails to run and walk but they have bear sightings. It’s also dog friendly and has lots of space to play sports
