Countryside Veterinary Dog Park in Howell, Michigan, offers a dedicated and secure space for dog owners seeking a pet-friendly park experience. Dogs are allowed off-leash within the fenced enclosures, providing a safe environment for play and exercise. The facility requires an annual membership and a Livingston county dog license, aiming to ensure a responsible, well-managed experience for all visitors.
This Howell dog park features two fenced areas, making it a good choice for separating small and large dogs or accommodating pups needing some space from others. Parking is available close to the park, and both the entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. While some visitors have found the membership process inconvenient, many appreciate the open space and the opportunity for dogs to safely socialize within a controlled setting.
I tried to purchase their expensive pass so my dog could have a place to play but the building right next door where you’re supposed to go was locked. It was around noon. Their were ppl inside and they just ignored me. I also called multiple times and left my name and number and they never called me back. I’ve been to other dog parks where it’s free and ppl are nice! This is not a friendly place whatsoever.
Was in the area with my dog and want to let her off lead turns out you need to register for a pass that has to get mailed to you , plus you have to a dog licence of Livingston county in order to apply. I’m not paying 70$ just for one day cus. Not from the area, plus there is literally no parking.
The park itself is a great place for the dogs to play. However you also have to Deal with dog parents who think the own the place and bully others so that they can get their way. There are also aggressive dogs that come and are a threat to more docile pups. The owners seem to look the other way or just don’t care about the safety of others. It’s a great place depending on who’s there.
I’ve lived overseas and frequented many dog parks over the years, including parks around Michigan and the US. Never once did I have to pay for an expensive pass to use a park. No wonder barely anyone uses it. We’re in Howell, not a major city. We can just take our dog elsewhere.
Great area for dogs to run and play! Two fenced in areas gives two different options for large and small dogs or for dogs needing some separation from other dogs. Parking is close by.
