Domino Park is one of Brooklyn’s best urban redevelopment projects. Built on the site of the former Domino Sugar Refinery, this waterfront park offers sweeping views of Manhattan and a beautifully landscaped promenade. There’s a fantastic playground that looks so fun it made me want to jump in and play too. On warm sunny days, the grassy areas near the water fill with locals sunbathing and relaxing, creating a beach-like atmosphere in the heart of the city.
The park manages to balance activity and calm. Whether you’re walking, playing, reading on a bench, or just people-watching, Domino Park gives you that rare New York luxury: space and serenity.
Came on Memorial Day. Lots of people tanning and picnicking. All the space is done and constructed they got a taco place. Nice views of city. And plenty of tables and chairs. Nice place to walk around and hang out. A few bars right there. Best part is there is a bathroom right in area!!!! Clean too!!
I was exploring the area before an appointment and happened upon this park. I loved the chaise
lounges and sat a bit to read. There was sand volleyball and a yoga class while I was there. I appreciate the public restrooms that were very clean. I was impressed by what I saw of the playground.
Hidden gem in NYC. Spectacular view of the city skyline. We enjoyed the summer river breeze. The Domino sugar brick building adds an old time feel. Beautiful place. You can stand and marvel the three bridges- Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Manhattan overpass. Love the fountains and the board walk.
