We visited Independence Oaks looking to get our annual vehicle pass.  Found out that with the approval of the 2024 millage request, there is no longer a charge to any of the Oakland County parks and dog parks. The annual Vehicle Permit Program has been eliminated.

However, fees for pay to play attractions such as golf courses, water park and wave pool, campgrounds and off-road vehicle park.

This park has wonderful trails and a variety of things to do see and do.  There is the Sadie and Irwin Cohn Amphitheater.  Then there is the Shelter donation by Detroit HOO HOO Club W.O.P.S. 1991 which is very interesting. The Wint Nature Center will be be reviewed at another time.

We will be coming back to enjoy the trails and the wonderful scenery.

Lovely trails. Some actual hills. Pretty lake. Friendly and helpful staff. Got 10 miles in doing all the trails twice.
