Great park to take the kids to, decent short nature trail. My kids enjoyed it and now my granddaughter is.
Just went there this weekend and the play area is muddy the play structure looks to have seen better days, looks like they don’t do any Maintenance to the equipment. The park itself is beautiful for an event 5-27-2022
I come mostly for the disc golf course, but I’ve seen enough of the park to recommend it. Pretty clean, seldom busy outside of peak summer times, bathrooms on premise. The disc golf course is fun, moderately challenging, and great for newer players because it’s mostly open. The parking lots can get muddy despite being gravel. The playground is maybe and great for kids up to 12 or so.
The old playground was an unique large wooden play structure, recently renovated, it combines modern steel materials but pays tribute to its wooden past. It is not quite as large as before but still larger than most. Many ground level hideaway areas, and up to two levels at its peak. A lot of climbing and sliding. Plenty of benches and picnic tables.
A bathroom is available nearby. Disc golf course, 1/4 mile woods trail and a pavilion, there is a lot to see here.
Here to highlight the playground at Bay Court Park however will mention this park has many other unique features including pavilions and community room (available for rent), parking, short nature trail, the Brady Lodge and a small beach front. We’ll done Independence Parks, Recreation and Seniors.
All photos are taken and distributed by Be Photographed. For having spent the night in an Airbnb multiple times across the street, I never knew this park existed. The indoor space is very roomy and has clean bathrooms. The area outside for Michigan colors is beyond words. The lake, boardwalk, and castle all used as background is just stunning to be within walking distance of each other. The gazebo was freshly painting and kept clean for the wedding reservation. I would love to stop here for photos during cocktail hour or for a full wedding.
