If you’re searching for a secure and well-maintained dog park in Farmington Hills, Michigan, William Grace Dog Park is a top local choice. Located on Shiawassee Street, this member-only park stands out for its electronic gate access, requiring a key fob and updated vaccination and license records for each dog – ensuring a safe, healthy environment for your four-legged friend. The park is fully fenced with separate play areas for small and large dogs, each equipped with seasonal water access.
William Grace Dog Park is wheelchair accessible and features waste stations with provided poop bags and disposal bins. There’s a public restroom nearby for owner convenience, and the adjacent playground and walking paths make this space great for families and pet-friendly outings. While shade is limited, the park is exceptionally clean and well-kept, earning praise from regular visitors for its community, safety, and friendly atmosphere.
We moved from Farmington hills, however, we miss the safety this place provides for our dog. Requiring vaccinations and licenses made us feel safer about our dog I interacting with others here and the owners were all wonderful. The park is clean and has available water supply as well.
It’s a nice little place to take your dog/s. The people and other doggies are friendly 🙂 There’s a small playground right next to the park if you have other little ones to keep preoccupied.
It was a thorough (paperwork) process to get my key fob. Loved the security of it being electronically gated. However, there is zero shade and my dog got a virus within one week of using the park. Not risking taking her there again. Pretty bummed, so is my dog.
I live in Lathrup Village I wanted to walk my dog there but I was refused entry because I didn’t live in Farmington. My question would be…do this park receive funding from OAKLAND COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION MILLAGE?
My dog and I love it here. You need a key fob for entry which can be obtained from the city/county after submitting the necessary paperwork for licensure.
There are two play areas: one for bigger and the other for smaller dogs. Both have water in season and provide stations with waste bags and disposal bins. The larger park has a walking path along the perimeter.
