🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Goldie Gibbons Dog Park offers Martinsburg residents a dedicated, well-maintained dog park that’s ideal for locals with canine companions seeking a safe, social space. The park features fenced areas for added peace of mind, although some reviews report concerns about fence gaps, especially in the large dog section. Entry requires a membership or paid access via key card, which means the park might not be immediately open to visitors or non-residents.
Maintained grounds and clear signage give a welcoming first impression to members, but non-members may find access limited. The park stands out for its security and maintenance, prioritizing registered, vaccinated dogs to create a safe environment for play. While spacious, the park’s policies and entry system make it best suited for regular users or Berkeley County residents seeking a reliably clean spot for off-leash fun near Martinsburg.
14MAY2025 Quaint little park, I’ve seen bigger. Nicely maintained, right down to the property identification sign at entry.
Driving through all entry is key carded and other members made it clear I was unwelcome with my dog and couldn’t even recommend a trail I could walk my dog on
So not only was it locked and you have to pay for it….
BUT there is a huge gap in the large dog fence that my husky found in 2 seconds running around. She absolutely almost got out and would have ran right into the road.
Honestly, very disappointing
Public parks should never cost money in order to be used. Just another Finley veiled ploy to try and squeeze a little extra money out of the residence of this county.
I actually could not go to this place because at 7:00 on a Saturday morning there is no way for me to register. I am dog sitting a dog from Frederick county who is fully vaccinated. I don’t understand why Berkeley county, if it is a public park is not open to the public. SMH. I’m sure it is s great park. But not for us.
