Nice little park to take your dogs or kids not much for kids to play on but if they are wanting to kick a ball around there’s plenty of room

Very good for a small town park. Probably Lewistown’s best overall park. The park has a quarter mile fitness trail with exercise stations dotted along the trail. There are instructions on how to use the equipment for both the beginner and the advanced. The lower level also has a pavillion with picnic tables and some charcoal grills. There are also numerous pieces of playground equipment for your enjoyment. The upper level had a hiking/biking trail around a quarter mile long. Both upper and lower levels have plaques identifying native species of trees growing in the park. Fun and educational place. Nice place for the family.

Wow! This park was so serene and peaceful! The park is in a swale surrounded by numerous trees and it was pure joy to listen to the wind rustling through the leaves of those trees and the sounds of the birds inhabiting them. It’s a small park, which isn’t unexpected for a small town, but they’ve managed to fit a nice picnic shelter and a short walking (and exercise) path in it. For someone who relies on a wheelchair, a hard surface walking trail is always a plus, but this one was especially so because of the views it afforded of the surrounding slopes and the accompanying trees. Part of the park is also located on top of the bluffs, but after driving to the upper level, I decided to spend most of my time on the more developed lower level. This might not be the ideal option if you’re looking to burn off a lot of excess energy, but I can’t think of a more enjoyable place to slow things down and escape the rat race.
