The lady who told us all about the park was so very nice and informative. They ask for about NULL/person/day to help with expenses. The views are breathtaking and you can walk all the way down the sand/boardwalk and see the lagoon.
Absolutely beautiful hiking route. The boardwalk is well maintained and offers excellent views. Can use the boardwalk route to enter the state park and complete a loop around the bluffs, highly recommend.
Great park and campground. NULL per night for electric with 20, 30, 50 amp hookups. NULL non-electric. Check in at noon and check out at 11am. Flush toilets with quarter showers. Reservations needed as it is hard to get in. Sara was the host and very helpful. She got us in same night as there was a cancellation. We had no internet on island so be prepared. May have internet in town, but internet available at park was not good.
Best and cleanest camp site I’ve been to. The sites may be kind of close to each other so be prepared to see each other.
I prefer the walkins as they have more trees and bush for privacy. The showers are not free and you pay about a dollar for a few minutes. Free portable water is onsite and the bathrooms are always so clean and do not stink!!
The lagoon is super fun and you can bridge jump, rent a canoe for a few bucks or walk across the rocks in shallow areas. The beach is beautiful and you have a fun view of the lake and the state park side.
Note. No filters on these pictures! Beautiful!!!
We camped at Town Park for the first time this last weekend. Everything was great, bathrooms were clean, showers were hot, campsite was big enough (we were in camp site #1) and there was plenty of firewood.
The camp hosts Rand and Fern were super helpful and do a very good job at the camp office. We rented a canoe, enjoyed the beach access and all around had a great time at this park.
