Smith Creek Dog Park in Hayward, Wisconsin

Smith Creek Dog Park offers a spacious, natural environment for dog owners seeking a rustic spot for their pups to stretch their legs. Located in the heart of the Northwoods at 15931 Company Lake Rd, this dog park provides an unfenced, off-leash space where dogs can run free and explore the tranquil outdoors. Visitors appreciate the peaceful setting and the creek—a great water source for thirsty pups—making it ideal for pet-friendly adventures and dog-friendly hiking.

The park’s charm lies in its wild, open fields and quiet surroundings. However, reviews note that the area is not maintained, appears somewhat overgrown, and does not offer traditional amenities like fenced areas or agility equipment. It suits well-trained dogs best, as the lack of fencing means dogs need reliable recall. If you’re looking for a natural dog park in Hayward, WI, with plenty of room and a true Northwoods feel, this is a unique choice.

This is a abandoned dogpark. No fenced in area. The sign should be removed.

Quiet, spacious natural space where real dogs can romp and run free!
Tranquil creek for them to drink.
Loved it!

It’s a dog park in the northwoods. About what I expected. If your dogs are trained it’s perfect for some exercise. Overgrown but plenty of space for dogs to romp around. Not good for fetch. That’s why I can’t give 5 stars.
