Located in Chesaning, Michigan, the Birding and Wildlife Trail offers a peaceful getaway for locals seeking pet-friendly trails. The main trail is a short hike winding between two picturesque ponds, making it an ideal spot for a quick nature break or a calming walk with your dog. This secluded area is perfect for dog owners who want to enjoy some quiet time in nature, catch a sunset, or introduce their kids and furry friends to hiking in a safe, low-traffic environment.
While the trail is well-suited for dog walks and is kid-friendly, it does not have many amenities you might find at dedicated dog parks, such as fenced enclosures, water stations, or seating areas. The area is best enjoyed by those looking for a natural walking experience in Chesaning with their pets, especially if you value privacy and scenic views over built-in park facilities. Due to minimal infrastructure, be sure to bring your own supplies and prepare for a tranquil visit with few other visitors.

I had never been before and did not know what to expect and learned this trail is not for me.
There’s nothing here. It’s a very short trail that goes between 2 ponds. If there are more trails, we couldn’t get to them because it’s too overgrown
Short hike back to two ponds. Beautiful place to catch a sunset. Nice for a dog walk or quick nature break. Not much for any amenities, but it seems like a fairly secluded place that you’ll probably have to yourself if you choose to visit.
