Discover a scenic spot for you and your furry friend with Bryan’s Hiking Trail, a popular pet-friendly trail located in Alger, Michigan. Ideal for dog owners and families alike, this short, well-maintained point-to-point trail is perfect for a leisurely walk in a beautiful natural setting. The trail provides a unique overlook with benches, offering a peaceful spot for you and your pets to relax and enjoy the view.
While dogs are welcome on the trail, please note that parking is restricted to local residents with a permit, as the lot is marked private and managed by the local HOA. The hiking loop is relatively short—about a 15-minute walk one way—making it an excellent option for a quick outdoor outing. Despite its length, the serene atmosphere and picturesque overlook make it a favorite for locals looking for a quiet, dog-friendly hiking experience in Alger, MI.
Nice little trail. We had a nice walk with the dogs.
Have to have a permit to park with local HOA. Very disappointed.
Drove all the way out to find this trail, only to find that the parking lot is marked private and for lake residents only.
The trail is very beautiful and the overlook where the benches are is very nice, my only complaint is the trail is not long enough for a proper hike. It is only like 15 minutes in one direction and then the beautiful view and then turn around and go back. If you are near the area it’s nice to see, so go check it out. The parking lot is marked private, but no one is out there and because it is such a short visit, we just parked there anyway. No problems.
This was a nice short trail however it’s a private trail and that wasn’t noted when I searched it I don’t recommend coming here
