A beautiful serene place, but was saddened by the trash (bags of garbage and broken beer bottles) of recent partygoers in numerous parts of the lake.

Broken beer bottles which is dangerous to wildlife, pets, and people were strewn throughout. Someone spray painted “Please pick-up your trash” on trees. It is a shame that someone had to do so to remind others to respect nature. I was there about a month ago (June ’19) and did not see that level of debris around.

ENJOY the area, but PLEASE have the decency to CLEAN UP after yourselves when you’re done so others can enjoy it, too.

☆☆Do not attempt to go here for a few days after a rain unless you have a Jeep or large SUV as there is a good chance you’ll get struck. ☆☆

The photographs shown here are not of the Blue Hole. The blue hole is approx. one acre in size and looks nothing like these photographs. The Blue hole is positioned adjacent to the Egg Harbor River approx. 50 yards apart. I know of no-one that has swam in it or who would want to, Even though the water appears to be clear blue as compared to the tea colored cedar water everywhere else it is loaded with green algae, moss and leaves which make it very uninviting for swimmers.

Excellent place to go for a day trip! Oftentimes many people are swimming there, although it’s technically against the law 🙄 Great place to bring your dogs as well!

Awesome place. Cool fishing spot and also very peaceful scenery. Just make sure you drive to the right spot because if not you’re walk or drive and see nothing but woods.

Great place to have a picnic, hike, skip rocks with the kids, etc. As far as I know swimming is prohibited, due to how dangerous this pretty water hole is. No idea what happened here before, but I wouldn’t put my kids at risk, so no swimming for us. We enjoy a nice trial, and this is one of the best around us by far.
I only give it 3 stars because of how beautiful and inviting the water looks but sadly can’t get in it 🤷‍♀️
