Golden Meadows Dog Park, located in scenic Woodland Park, Colorado, is a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike to let their dogs play and socialize. This pet-friendly dog park offers a relaxed, natural environment with plenty of shade provided by both large and small trees. Although the park may not feature grass, its dirt surface and friendly atmosphere make it an excellent find for those looking for a dog park near Colorado Springs or searching for a dog-friendly space in the area.
The park features donated benches for owners to relax, waste bags and trash stations for easy cleanup, and a separate area for small dogs to play safely. While you should bring your own water since there is no running water onsite, water bowls are often available for dog use. Five stars? Really? But it has no grass! And it has no water! I know I know, but it does have two big trees and more importantly than that it has a bunch of little bitty trees and even more importantly than that if you look at the dog park sign it was a girl scout Gold Award winner, it was sponsored by a local bank and a bunch of other local people, dog benches were all donated by somebody in the name of one of their beloved pets oh, and there is even a bench in there that looks like it was donated by a dentist office? Either he had a lot of patients from this dog park or he understands the Loyalty a dog has for its owner and therefore the Loyalty the owner normally has for the people that do things nice for the dog, and the owner, just decided this maybe an incredible way to spend some of his advertising dollars? But anyway, I’m not really from around here no, but if you’re moving here and you need to know the name of a good dentist or a good bank I got a couple I can certainly recommend based on my experience with them!! There seem to be plenty of water in all the bowls but you do need to bring some if you can. I didn’t know what the little wood boxes were for hanging on the poles with the trash cans, but then I opened the lid and saw the plastic bags inside, hey I saw this small scooper things at the bottom and thought maybe, well, it was a spot for us handicapped people to be able to hahaha no I really did!
Our dogs had fun here. We took them on our last day visiting Colorado kind of a chill day. There isn’t any grass, and it’s not very big, but there were bowls of water that weren’t frozen and toys laying around. We were the o ly two dogs there so we did not use the small dog area but its nice they have it.
