Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
If you’re searching for a dog park in Geneva, Ohio, Geneva Dog Park at 240 Eastwood St offers a convenient space for dogs to play and exercise off-leash. This fenced-in park, located behind Memorial Field and near the football field, provides local dog owners with a secure area featuring double-gated entry for safety. While the space isn’t as large as some nearby options and could use a few improvements, it remains a favorite for a quick play session or stroll with your canine companion.
Geneva Dog Park does not have separate areas for large and small dogs, so owners of smaller breeds should be aware that some holes beneath the fencing and at the maintenance gate could allow small pets to escape. The park includes a waste bag dispenser (though sometimes only grocery bags are available) and trash bins for easy clean-up. Ample parking is nearby, and a children’s play structure is just a short walk away, making this pet-friendly park a welcoming spot for dog families in Ashtabula County.
This dog park is located next to Memorial field. It is fenced in area with a double gate for entry. The fenced in area is a little smaller than expected and there is not a separate area for smaller dogs. There is a dog waste bag dispenser and trash can present. Their is a large access gate for maintenance and the gap clearances there are a concern for smaller dogs as they could squeeze through if inclined.
Overall its an OK park but there is room for improvement and is not as large as Smith Field park in Ashtabula
Large fenced in park behind the football field. Low traffic. Some holes under the fence that may be problematic if you have a smaller dog. I brought my two German Shepherd mixes and they were able to play and have fun. Parking is a little strange, I parked on the side of the path. Poo bags were not available, but grocery bags were there to replace. Overall well taken care of and easily accessible.
Good dog park for a quick play and walk. Play structure nearby for kids and plenty of places to park so you never have to worry. The park does provide a trash can and bags so you can clean up after your dog. The park only gets four stars due to no water station for the dogs. This would be the only thing the park really needs to help improve it.
It’s ok, but don’t let your kids or dog play in the creek, it has lots of steel in it.
My little dog escaped through hole in fence by gate they use to mow grass. The gate is bent back to allow small to medium dogs go through easily. I’m fostering so she’s not very good at following or knowing commands. Was scary because she got close to road. Couldn’t chase her as she just runs away. Luckily she came back to me eventually. Will contact city this week to get it fixed.
