Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Discover Dana Park, a pet-friendly green space located on Springfield St in Chicopee, MA. Well-loved by locals, Dana Park offers a safe and relaxing environment for dog owners, families, and their furry friends. Surrounded by fencing with minimal openings to busy streets, the park provides a degree of security, making it a welcoming spot for kids and leashed pets alike.
While it doesn’t feature a dedicated dog run or separate areas for different dog sizes, Dana Park stands out for its clean open fields, picnic tables, and family-friendly atmosphere. Enjoy a walk, let your dog socialize, or relax with your loved ones on the grassy lawns. Although amenities like restrooms and ample parking are limited (and there may be some muddy areas after heavy rains), the park offers baseball fields and open space perfect for a stroll or playtime with your dog.
Fields are very weedy and uneven so not really ideal for soccer games and parking is very limited if there is an event like a soccer game. The one nice thing i observed was that the park is fenced with only a few openings which would help contain little ones to some degree from the busy streets surrounding the park.
Usually clean and fine… sometimes some nasty stuff around… some people like to smoke weed in the area… wife not comfortable going there on her own. Prefer Buttery Brook in South hadley… go there or Dufresne in Granby
My son enjoyed it and my nephew did too but there is a super sinkhole like puddle. And those opening in the gates towards that street that is definitely busy all the time major turnoff.
It’s a great park to go out for a walk and relaxing it’s very safe and it has a baseball field as well!
Bathroom are not open but the park is nice have some picnic tables and is always clean, great for all the family including dogs
